Kids Outdoors & Medieval Games
In the Smiley world of make-believe, fairy tales really do come true. Because in the large outdoor area you can do somersaults and go into battle, build, laugh and invent your own exciting adventures.
Our young guests have their very own castle with four towers, numerous bridges, footbridges, slides, swings, a waterfall with paddling pool and sand, a bell tower, a windmill, a trampoline and a covered sandpit at their disposal.
Your children will be transformed into nature-loving princesses, lively Indian braves, sand architects, keen swimmers or noble knights. Because every Thursday there is a medieval banquet just for children at the Smiley Ritterburg (Knights’ Castle). Dressed up in original costumes, our guests either receive their knighthood or are transformed into a damsel or fairy godmother. The utmost adventure of such a children’s holiday is the sleepover inside the knight’s castle.
They can go up to the knight’s castle in a children’s cable car or climb up themselves along an idyllic path on a torch-lit hike. The castle is guarded by a real life-size knight who welcomes his guests and the really brave ones go on a treasure hunt. From the large main playground with see-saws, tricycles and go-kart track, a secret path leads up to the Smiley Mountain, which is located right next to the Smiley Castle.
But our absolute highlights in the outdoor play area are the knights’ banquet, the sleepover, a variety of medieval games and naturally the sausages cooked over a camp fire.
If your kids still haven’t had enough, they can romp around the nature playground directly on the River Lieser, which brings them particularly close to nature. Here we offer our young guests a children’s football pitch, a sand dune, and a paddling pool with a magic flower, and they can naturally also swim in the river.
Children love animals – and our animals love children. At the Smiley Hotel our young guests get very close to the animals and in this way learn where eggs come from, go for donkey rides and cuddle rabbits and guinea pigs.
