Smiley Water world

You and your family can enjoy the Smiley Water World in the indoor or outdoor pool or directly by the river.

You can splash around with your children in the family indoor pool with slide and massage jets or go for a morning swim in the 10 x 5 metre pool.

In the children’s fun pool, your little ones can play in water with a temperature of 32 °C. This selected children’s area is only 20 cm deep which means they can enjoy splashing around in total safety. The indoor pool and children’s fun pool are open from 7 am to 10 pm.

In the circular outdoor pool you can cool off after soaking up the sun. We heat our outdoor pool with an air heat pump, which means you can use the Smiley outdoor pool from the end of May until the beginning of September in all weather conditions. Our little guests are also catered for outside. Meanwhile they enjoy themselves at the magic pond with sand dune.

The playground in the nature is every child’s dream and is our access point to the River Lieser. Our beach lies directly on the river bank. The Lieser flows past the Smiley Hotel, giving our guests the wildly romantic opportunity to swim in a river. The Lieser has drinking quality water and is particularly good for cooling off on hot days. You can also relax in the shade of the trees. Smiley’s Lieser access is the ideal place for anyone seeking peace and quiet – and for curious children.

We also offer our house guests free admission to the Sittlinger lido in Döbriach on Lake Millstatt. The water of Lake Millstatt also has the best drinking water quality and is known far and wide as the “Pearl of Upper Carinthia“.

So just relax and read a book, soak up the sun and enjoy the fantastic mountain scenery during a day of swimming at Lake Millstatt. Sittlinger lido also offers some shady spots, boat hire, a playground for the children and the most amazing ice-cream sundaes for your little ones.

No description of Smiley’s Water World would be complete without mentioning the lake house, for a holiday directly on the shore of Lake Millstatt. It is exclusively reserved for our guests who want to spend their holidays away from the hustle and bustle of the city amidst the quiet of the Carinthian nature. The lake house is only 10 minutes by car from the Smiley Hotel.
